EDITH BARNARD holds a
bachelor's degree from the
University of Illinois in Music
Education and a Master's
Degree from the State
University of New York at
Binghamton in Theater.  As well
as being an accomplished
performer which she continues
to enjoy, she has experienced
many years as a music/drama
coach and teacher. She
toured her "Harriet Beecher Stowe" one woman show
for the Smithsonian for 20 years, won an award from
the WHITE HOUSE for her musical, "Courtly Appeal"
about the U. S. Constitution, was a cultural
ambassador for the U. S. government to Greece and
lived in Barbados from 1994-2005 where she had
many amazing life and musical experiences.  She
combines practical knowledge with intuition to meet
the needs and wants of each student and guides them
to the next level with patience and encouragement.  
Many of her students are professional musicians and
teachers in their own right.
